Say it isn't so

"Mama, I don't like ikan keli (cat fish) and I would never eat it," my youngest sister, Baby told her mother one morning.

"Yes, I know. Our family don't eat ikan keli. Anyway, kelisa is a nice fish," Mama said, smiling.

"Is kelisa a fish?" I asked innocently.

"What?! Oh...Along! You went flying here and there, yet you don't know that kelisa is a type of fish?"

"Well, I only knew that Kelisa was produced after Kancil and Rusa. So, I thought that they might had came from the same group. You know, surely it won't be suitable to name a car as Pelanduk."

We busted into laughter.

Only one

Assalamualaikum and Salam 1 Malaysia.
Ladies and gentlemen.

Boys and girls.

Aaah. It has been a while since my last entry. What can I say...I'm busy! (err...busy??) Yeah, sort of. Actually I have a lot of things in my mind to be sketched onto this very personal site of mine. But, you know, when you have an infinite stories to share, in the end it becomes almost nothing. (ahahaha...forget that , will you?)

Labbaikallah

"If you reach that place again, will you walk through the path we used to walk together, again?" Mama asked with trembling voice.

The request was answered by an invisible smile.

There was a silence. A meaningful silence. As if we were drifted back  to those days...days full of unforgettable memories. Days we went through in Mecca and Medina.

That was my first Umrah trip, about 6 years ago, in 2004. It was in month of May. The weather was hot and dry. Days were sunny, while nights were soothing. A fortnight of comfort, lull and purity!

Hakuna matata

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe
She had so many children
She didn't know what to do
But they all were so handsome
And clever I'm told
That she wouldn't trade one
For diamond or gold!

I love this rhyme. I'll rhyme this whenever I need to clear my head.

It has been a long time since I first asked to memorize this rhyme. It was 10 years ago, when I was in Standard 6. We were participating in the Choral Speaking Competition, that year. We won the State Level, and went for National Level, presenting Kelantan. Yes...that was among my sweetest memory during my childhood life. Neh, chotto matte! Let's first complete the rhyme together!

Time after time

I've just finished my Ophthalmology written paper! Oooh, my vision is blurring! Right, I won't talk about that anyway...Let Allah complete the rest.

It was the Father's Day just passed few days. And I'm not here to post a-Father's-Day-gift-entry, absolutely! The reason is simple, because now I do not have a father. He left. Hurm...it sounds rather rude.. Then how about he 'died'. Ah, that is more polite!

"Why did you hate your father so much?"
Someone asked me.
