Frisky feline

All right.

First of all, I regret that I don't make time to update my blog. And second of all, I have this feeling of mixed indescribable EMOTIONS whirling around in my stomach like leftovers in a garbage disposal.

What I want to say is....
we face obstacles in our lives
a bit here and there whether
its work or studying or friends
or parents or siblings or
our own selves.
Or it could be a problem
with our favourite
plants or a pet!

As a matter of fact, I am going through a CHALLENGING time raising my pet. Which is an 8-month-old kitty, which currently looks more like an adult cat rather than a little kitty. Anyhow, it is a chubby-fluffy-long haired-playful tom. Great huh? You'll know better if you meet it!

Never-ending Terrorism

Glory be to Allah, Who created the entire universe and all mankind.

I am one of millions of Muslims living in this world. I believe in Islam for it is the inborn religion, which is divinely reveals from Allah as GUIDANCE to mankind.

Islam is a religion that
commands to peace,
practices good qualities,
rejects injustice and
 prevents evil deeds.
I am sure, that all religions
established by their founders
are based on pure purposes.
 But, the foundations of
those religions are
according to their own ways,
not from the guidance of Allah,
 the Lord of the Universe.

Upon seeing the ATROCITIES committed against Muslims around the world, I wonder, why would they do those unacceptably cruel and INHUMAN things to these people?

Watching Muslims in Myanmar killed and tortured, it makes me wonder... is not Buddhism a religion that calls for personal development with good morals? Does Buddhism teach you to kill people of other religions?

And WHY specifically MUSLIMS??

The gifts-list

Alhamdulillah and special thanks to all my birthday wishers!

I mean...really REALLY special.
It was not only that you
remembered my birthday instead
 your wishes and PRAYERS
 really touched my heart.
It did not matter what you call
 me...any nicknames you
give me whether it is Along or Koari
or Aryana or Shazzy or VO or...or.
You'll put a smile on my face.
And I really look drop dead
GORGEOUS when I smile!

It is impossible for me to make a list of appreciation to all of my family and friends throughout the world. But I need you to know that I'm really thankful for all your words of courage. You know, because of you all I had the most amazing, colourful life. Sometimes fun, sometimes exciting, sometimes desperate, sometimes shocking. It's a life you can't imagine anyone else leading. Only EXCLUSIVELY me!

Escape!

Minna-sama, tadaima!

I haven't been updating this blog
for centuries. The only logical
explanation was that I must have
studied so much for the last
few weeks of last year. By last year
I mean a couple of DAYS ago.
Happy new year 2012, minna-sama!

Frankly speaking, I have a myriad
of things to tell you this moment.
Seriously! But since my mind is still
tired from the tortures of
previous weeks, I'd like to keep this
entry leisure. Certainly it doesn't mean
that I'm on vacation or anything because
I still have Radiology End Round Exam
waiting for me at the end of the week.
And that makes me suffer every week
of Special Internal Medicine.
Don't let me start on THAT story!

Muslim brotherhood

Tanta is now hot with
lots of campaigns regarding
famine in Somalia.
I mean...it is NICE to see
everybody is getting bussier
and bussier for the sake
of brotherhood. Moreover,
it colours the life of a student.

Well, yes you are a student.
But it doesn't mean that
you have to be an ignorant
other than your 'study' things.
Darou na?

Frankly, the issue of Somalia is already an old issue. Old but ongoing. But maybe I wasn't aware enough that I don't know much about it. The only thing I know is that Somalia is a very poor looking country...with battles here and there...starvation every where...extinction!

Eid eve

I am smiling at the memory.

It is going to be Aidilfitri soon.
By soon, I mean VERY soon.
Underage children would have been very
excited about 'Hari Raya'.
Because I used to be an INNOCENT
young girl, so I pretty much knew
how exciting it was to celebrate Hari Raya.
Eventhough, I used to not fasting
the whole month of Ramadhan that time.
Yeah, I was a little naughty!

And do you know what I was
EAGER about Hari Raya?
ANG POW!
Or it is called as 'Duit Raya' in Malaysia.

Don't laugh, darling. It is normal, for a kid.
And not for a grown-up.
Obviously because you DON'T get 'ang-pows' any more. You give.

Irony

OK, folks!

Here I go again!

But before I go on with my DISCUSSION
this time, well, I've been wondering...

Have you ever kept a diary to yourself?

Uhm, you know that kind of BOOK
which you record your daily
events and experiences.
Where you pour your heart out,
spill your emotion, take out your anger.
Baaah! As if NOBODY knows what a diary is!

Nina in Japan

I have a confession to make. Maybe several confessions.

But don't be surprised and say ''Eeeehhh?"

Okay! Here it comes.

First of all, despite the fact that
my annual exam is VERY NEAR
around the corner, still I don't study
that much anyway. And second of all,
I'm addicted to 'Nina In Japan'!
That I've been watching and
stalking to her videos uploaded by
her Papa since she was merely a toddler.
They are fascinating!

Expression

Truth as clear and blue
as the sky we walk under.
Love as bright and loud
as the lightening and thunder.
Peace as pure and white
as the moon, so full of wonder.
So many different colours of Islam!

I miss my paintings

True. I haven't been painting lately. And that made me feel like losing my wings.

Painting as a hobby can be a very satisfying and relaxing form of recreation. The hobby of oil painting or watercolor painting can help my balance, especially if I am in a high-stress position.

Only one

Assalamualaikum and Salam 1 Malaysia.
Ladies and gentlemen.

Boys and girls.

Aaah. It has been a while since my last entry. What can I say...I'm busy! (err...busy??) Yeah, sort of. Actually I have a lot of things in my mind to be sketched onto this very personal site of mine. But, you know, when you have an infinite stories to share, in the end it becomes almost nothing. (ahahaha...forget that , will you?)

Hakuna matata

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe
She had so many children
She didn't know what to do
But they all were so handsome
And clever I'm told
That she wouldn't trade one
For diamond or gold!

I love this rhyme. I'll rhyme this whenever I need to clear my head.

It has been a long time since I first asked to memorize this rhyme. It was 10 years ago, when I was in Standard 6. We were participating in the Choral Speaking Competition, that year. We won the State Level, and went for National Level, presenting Kelantan. Yes...that was among my sweetest memory during my childhood life. Neh, chotto matte! Let's first complete the rhyme together!

Winter in summer

Minna, please have a look at my painting. Onegaishimasu!

I name this as.....'Summer in Malaysia'??

Yeah! I know. Just stop there, OK.
It's not that I can stand you
admiring my fine art masterpiece.
But thanks anyway!  I really
appreciate your praises that
come from the pure heart of yours.

Lately I have this song keep playing
inside my mind. Hurm...not so new,
just a few years back. Even so since
I've just discovered it, so it's new for me!

Officially declared, Badar 313!

Last night we had our wireless network operated, for the first time in Badar 313, our new house. Oh, by the way, we just moved in about a month ago! We are now living in Syarie’ Azhar, just a block before Syarie’ Salam, my former house. Since this is my first post after moving in, first and foremost, let me introduce my new housemates:

Iman - our Mrs. Brain
Azzahra’ - she makes the home as her ‘direct selling center’
Farhana - drop dead Goo Jun Pyo/Yoon Ji Hoo fan
Me - the owner of VioletOrchid

Oh, Allah! Unite us all…with eeman filling our hearts.

Read! Read! But he could not read..

Talk! If you can't read.

One day, a man came to see an optician.

Patient: Doctor, could you make me a pair of reading glasses because I can't read without it.
Doctor: OK, then. I'll be happy to help you.

So, the doctor prescribed for him reading glasses. But then the man came to the clinic again..

Patient: You must have gave me a wrong prescription!
Doctor: Why? I'm sure i gave you the right one.
Patient: My vision doesn't improve and I still can't read on using it.
Doctor: That is strange. Anyhow, do you know how to read?
Patient: That's why I asked you to prescribe me reading glasses!

Oh, dear! A pair of reading glasses never can help someone who is simply does not know how to read. So, the man above has a disease called 'illiteracy'....not so a disease after all. He is called as illiterate. Actually, millions of people all over the world are illiterate. Even in industrialized western countries as UK and the USA, approximately 20% of the population has 'low literacy level'. Surprised, huh?

Ophthalmology and humanity

I woke up early this morning as for today is the first day I enter the 4th year of medicine. The distance between my new lecture hall and my house is now a few steps nearer than before. Well, that makes a lot of change! We don't have to run from the main gate to the faculty. We don't have to climb to the 6th floor for lectures. And also, we don't have our Malaysian Room here. Oh, we are going to miss that room! To tell you the truth, I've missed ophthalmology classes several times because the lesson began on 3rd October 2009. Despite of being late for a fortnight, I tell myself to be positive and give my full concentration during the class.

What I like best the lecture today is the lecturer himself. He enters the classroom, greets the students with a smile on his face and brings us some candies! He distributes each one of us a candy before he starts his lecture and during two-minutes-breaks in between lectures. He treats us like small kids and that's very cute!

Quest of maghfirah

Last night was a bright night. The moon shone fairly down to the earth. Moderate temperature. Tranquility was in the air. This morning was a bright morning too. The birds chirped happily. A bleesed day!

Today is seventeenth ramadhan of 1430, the day of Nuzul Quran. The day Al-Quran was settled down to our noble Prophet (s.a.w). It contains beautiful words arranged in wonderful manners. Subhanallah! Moreover, it was perfected in the second phase of ramadhan, quest of maghfirah. It’s the phase of forgiveness from Allah the All-Forgiving. Amazing, huh? Ar-Raheem sent Al-Quran as rahmah and forgiveness for the believers!
